ENOS Mass Spec Sniffer

A mass-spectrometer second barrier that catches contaminants at residual levels too low for the first-barrier A100.

ENOS Multi-Barrier line including Mass Spec verification
MS
Line position
Second barrier — before the washer
Sensitivity
Very low residual levels

What it does

The Mass Spec is the optimized final verification point for the bottle float before the washer. With a push rejector behind it, it removes contaminants present at residual levels far below the first barrier's threshold.

What it catches

Aromatics / SAM
Acetone, toluene, paint solvents
Ammoniacal / NOx
Pesticides (e.g. Raid) and insecticides
Low-volatility / PEx
Industrial detergents, strong perfumes, deodorants
Alcohols / OH
Ethanol, beer, strong homemade spirits (pulque)
Hydrocarbons / SOx
Hydrocarbon and aromatic residuals below the first-barrier threshold

Why two barriers

The A100 strips out aggressive, high-concentration contaminants up front. That keeps the Mass Spec from being saturated by gasoline-class signals, so it runs at maximum sensitivity for the low-residual targets above — higher accuracy, fewer false rejects and more stable production.
